Potential benefit of HSR and ECRL to the people living nearby.

High Speed Railway (HSR) is the government's project delivery vehicle to connect Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru with Singapore. Singapore and Malaysia had officially agreed to build a HSR link between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore by 2020. The project that aims to facilitate a travel between the two capital cities, connecting the people between two country and enhancing the business linkage of Malaysia and Singapore.

In Malaysia,we are now moving forward to plan high-speed railway(HSR) that give the  opportunity to create entirely new townships around the seven stations on the Malaysian side – Bandar Malaysia (KL), Putrajaya (and by extension, southern Selangor), Seremban, Ayer Keroh (Malacca), Muar, Batu Pahat and Iskandar Puteri (all in Johor). There are many spin-off benefits in terms of development potential around the terminus in Singapore and also in Malaysia. In Malaysia, they are building it in Bandar Malaysia, and in Singapore, we are doing it in the Jurong Lake District. There will be indirect benefits to businesses which can take advantage of this convenience and therefore flourish and grow in both territories.
If you look at Taipei and Kaoshiung in Taiwan or Shanghai and Nanjing in China, two cities are connected together and both cities benefit. There is more competition, more business to be done. This means vitality and a wide variety of options and a more rapid pace of progress. I see this as a very positive project and it is a major undertaking that will cost quite a lot on both sides and we have to get it right. If we do, it will be a lasting and strategic contribution.
As we can see a lot of benefits of HSR has the ability to compress geographical distances, and with that, change entirely how people live, work and play.
When you bring cities closer together, they start acting like a large single entity. In this case, HSR is able to overcome physical distance by shortening travel times. For the development of the HSR, could also reduce the size of farming land, affecting food supply .The HSR will further enhance the GDP growth of intermediate cities such as Seremban, Ayer Keroh, Muar and Batu Pahat when managed properly in tandem with the availability of HSR.Other benefit of high speed rail is delivers fast, efficient transportation so riders can save time, energy, and money. HSR is extremely reliable and operates in all weather conditions. HSR is not subject to congestion, so it operates on schedule every day without delay - especially during rush hour and peak travel times. Coupled with the cross-border MRT link between Singapore and Johor Baru, the high-speed rail would ease traffic congestion at the borders of both countries.
The line would also bring about significant economic benefits. Businesses could take advantage of the improved accessibility, while areas around the high-speed rail stations will become more attractive to developers.
In other side,HSR spurs the revitalization of cities by encouraging high density, mixed-use real estate development around the stations. HSR also fosters economic development in second-tier cities along train routes. HSR links cities together into integrated regions that can then function as a single stronger economy. HSR broadens labor markets and offers workers a wider network of employers to choose from. HSR encourages and enables the development of technology clusters with fast easy access between locations. HSR also expands visitor markets and tourism while increasing visitor spending. HSR will lower ouf foreign trade deficit by hundreds of billions of dollars each year from purchasing foreign oil.
The many benefits HSR delivers spread throughout regions that have HSR, encouraging economic development across a large area.

Besides that, the proposed East Coast Rail Line (ECRL) project announced by Prime Minister Najib Razak in Budget 2017 spells good news for residents in Terengganu.
The 600-kilometre project from Kuala Lumpur to Tumpat, Kelantan costing RM55 billion which would cut across Terengganu is expected to impact positively on the local economic and social sectors.
Dungun parliamentary development officer Din Adam told Bernama when contacted that the ECRL would serve as an alternative mode of transport for the people, whereby they could have the benefit of comfortable and shorter time travel compared to land transport .The ECRL would boost Dungun's potential towards creating more growth centres for new towns in the district. Dungun, as Terengganu's learning and higher education hub will capitalise on this opportunity to further rejuvenate the economic and tourism sectors, which will indirectly create more employment opportunities.

New growth centres will indirectly enhance property value and the socio-economy of the residents and gross domestic product (GDP) of three east coast states was projected to grow by 1.5 per cent with the implementation of the ECRL.
On behalf of Dungun residents, I thank the federal government's commitment to this project for the well-being of the people in the long run.. the ECRL would spur economic growth for small and medium industries especially in Kemaman and Besut. This is because, the train service will smoothen the traffic congestion in the industrial areas at Paka and Kertih area especially during the peak hours mainly in the morning and evening traffic.
This project will benefit more than 22,514 active SMIs in the state. The vast economic impact is expected to expand with a socio-economic plan that takes into account, ECRL stations to be constructed in the areas around.
This project will provide major economic benefits such as employment and opportunities for growth in the tourism and construction industries, and food and retail sectors.
It will also serve as a catalyst for rapid economic development in east coast states particularly Terengganu and the surrounding areas.

1Malaysia Programs that i like.

Malaysia has been as an independence country for about  60 years. And we are proud to been as the Malaysian as we are consist of multi racial, multi religious and multi races that make our country so unique and amazing. In addition, we always live in tolerance and  harmony  among the citizen as we love to our nation very much. Moreover, our current Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib bin Tun Abdul Razak had announced 1Malaysia concept that will strengthen our bonding and spirit as one nation. As the result, we are happy to been participated in our own country as we can know each other, then, can create the brotherhood among our citizen. To implement the concept of 1Malaysia,our Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib, had also planned a lot of related programmes like Kedai Rakyat 1 Malayisa(KRIM),Klinik 1 Malaysia,Perumahan Satu Malaysia(PRIMA),Lesen Satu Malaysia, and many more. The programs are very suitable and important to the citizen to get their benefits for the short term period and also for long term of period. This also very parallel with mission of 1Malaysia concept which is "Rakyat didahulukan, pencapaian diutamakn".As the result,we are been prepared with a lot of programs like Skim Latihan 1Malaysia(SLIM),Program Perumahan 1Malaysia(PRIMA),Amanah Saham 1Malaysia,Interaktif tuisyen 1Malaysia(i-tr1m) and Bantuan Lesen 1Malaysia(BLIM).

This year, the new programmes is Kad Diskaun Siswa 1Malaysia which is targeted to the students at university level. So,the first program that i like is Kad Diskaun Siswa 1Malaysia which i think,it  give the good opportunity for student to find their necessary and also for learning tools. As such.I also not miss to grab the chance to have one on mine.
Below is the information about KADS1M:
KADS1M are given for free to students who pass all the following criteria but the government is considering to include overseas, distance-learning and part-time students:
  • Currently pursuing higher education with minimum 1 year term (certificate, diploma, degree, masters, phd) in Malaysia
  • Full-time students
  • Malaysians

Other than that, the programs that i like is Klinik 1Malaysia that i see it has given a lot of advantages to me as the citizen and the people who really need for this kind of program.
The Government’s initiative is timely in light of the present socio-economic status of the rakyat. With escalating private healthcare costs and all round inflation, it is important that the rakyat be provided with a choice of easily accessible public and private healthcare providers to choose from.

These clinics while being managed by paramedics under the supervision of doctors have been very effective in ensuring quality primary healthcare for the citizen that want to get better life. This is very good program that look our government is very concern and appreciate our community’s health by reducing the cost for the treatment.

Next,is the Kedai Rakyat 1Malaysia which known as KRIM is one of the programs that relly make me proud about Malaysia as we have our own brand and very low price of the products.Besides that,Kedai Rakyat 1Malaysia (KR1M) allows people to buy basic necessities at low and affordable prices. At the same time, it also ensures that people can buy locally product, and  we also must be proud with our own brand. The KR1M is seen as helping the target group of those in rural areas with low incomes to obtain basic necessities without compromising on the quality of the goods. Moreover, the price is affordable and more cheaper than the other brands of product. Many citizens have given the positive feedback about the product that they buy at Kedai Rakyat 1Malaysia which has helped them in their daily budget.
Last but not least,i as one of the citizen want to thank to the government that had planned the best programs to make sure we can be one of developed country that will be proud in over the world.

These are several of products of 1Malaysia

Initiatives of Malaysia Goverment to increase the economic and income per to country.

In 1957, Malaysia was been an independence country and from the point of beginning,Malaysia has looked forward to become as developed country. Therefore,it was been the responsibility to to build our country to achieve our vision. Now,It has notched up nearly half a century of rapid and inclusive economic growth, with real GDP expanding by 6.4% per annum on average since 1970. Once dependent on agriculture and commodity exports, this growth has allowed it to become a more diversified, modern economy. It is open and competitive too, with strong links to global value chains, particularly in manufacturing electronic goods, machine equipment, medical goods and so on.As such, many initiatives were planned to make sure we get to create the achievement that will be proud to all Malaysian and also the world.

As to achieve our dream, the Malaysian government has introduced a national transformation framework which aims to drive the country toward an advanced nation by 2020. Three pillars of the framework, the New Economic Model (NEM), the Economic Transformation Programme (ETP), and the 10th Malaysia Plan (2011-2015), have underscored the critical role of a highly skilled, creative and innovative workforce in achieving a high income economy that is both inclusive and sustainable.
In fact,to achieve the goal in the situation we have, there must be the obstacle or challenge that need to face.Presently, the talent base of the workforce of Malaysia has lagged behind the standard of high-income nations. The country suffers from a shortage of skilled workers, weak productivity growth stemming from a lack of creativity and innovation in the workforce, and an over-reliance on unskilled and low-wage migrant workers.
Next is the Malaysian government’s 11th Malaysia Plan, (2016-20) that emphasises the need for greater inclusiveness. In particular, it seeks to raise the living standards of the bottom 40% of the population by income, to reduce the income and infrastructure gaps between richer and poorer states, and to increase the participation of women in the economy.

Another key objective is to continue with gradual fiscal consolidation, following the reduction of the headline fiscal deficit from a peak of 6.4% of GDP in 2009 to a projected 3.1% in 2016. This progress owes much to major structural reforms. On the revenue side, the government introduced a consumption-based goods and services tax (GST) in April 2015, which led to better and more transparent tax collection, and has helped broaden an overly narrow tax base. Malaysia is one of Asia’s main oil and gas exporting countries, and GST implementation helped offset the sharp decline in oil prices, with the share of fiscal revenue from oil and gas halving between 2014 and 2016, to one sixth. On the expenditure side, the authorities embarked on a far-reaching energy and food subsidy rationalisation programme in 2009, which has now been largely completed.
To cushion the political and economic impact of the GST and subsidy removals, especially on lower incomes, the government introduced an income support programme in 2012, called BR1M, which involves income transfers to households in the bottom 40%. In addition, the government has provided substantial (arguably too broad) GST exemptions on various items, such as fruits, vegetables, cooking oil and petrol, which these low income groups have a larger propensity to consume.
From the implementation of the strategy, Malaysia’s economic success story has also been underpinned by prudent monetary and financial policy, led by its independent and authoritative central bank. Malaysia has the third largest bond market in Asia and is a global proponent of Islamic finance.

Besides that,Malaysian government also focus on education for their citizen as the knowledge is very precious to the people to get their job and good life style. The Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013-2025 was launched in September 2012 as the latest initiative of the government to transform the education system into one that produces thinking and innovative students to meet the needs of the new economy. Employers’ over-reliance on unskilled and cheap foreign labour has led to inadequate growth of skilled workers in the labour market. As a result, only 25% of Malaysia’s labour force is composed of highly skilled workers, as compared to significantly higher proportions in Singapore, Chinese Taipei and Korea.Despite of that result, the inadequately educated labour force of Malaysia has become the main obstacle to business operations and growth. Businesses in Malaysia, including SMEs, face increasing difficulties in recruiting and retaining skilled workers at the technical, supervisory and managerial levels (National SME Development Council, 2012). Such difficulty has intensified as the mismatch between skills needed by the labour market and those acquired by job seekers has worsened. More than 40% of firms have reported vacancies for skilled production worker positions, and the average time required to fill a vacancy is about four weeks (World Bank, 2009b). The main reason given by the firms for this long process is that the applicants did not have the required basic skills or the right technical skills needed to carry out the jobs in question. The evidence of skills mismatch is further indicated by the relatively high unemployment rate of graduates .A survey by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) in 2008 shows that about a quarter of graduates of university and colleges remained unemployed six months after completion of their studies. For those who secured jobs, almost one-third were in jobs at a lower skill level than they were trained for.

Last but not least, we can say that many strategy are been plan by the government that was lead by our current Prime Minister,Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak that is known as the ‘father of transformation’ or Bapa Transformasi because of the spate of transformation initiative that he had made. Finally,my hope for my lovely country is that I hope I can be the part who can contribute myself with my career to my nation and also to the society in future.May Allah ease me everything in my journey in 2017.
